Algoma Rocks!

The Great Lakes Portfolio is a collection of images of Lakes Superior and Michigan designed to present the waters of the Great Lakes from a transcendent perspective and to hopefully elicit in the viewer a sense of the intimate nature of our relationship with these waters.

The Selected Images Portfolio is a collection of my images from the past several years that I find interesting, for one reason or another. This collection contains images from many places and subject matter, all somehow resonating with my sense of beauty, importance, and meaning. A few of these images are also contained in the other two collections.

The Algoma Rocks! images were all taken in September 2013 on the North East shore of Lake Superior between Sault Ste. Marie and Lake Superior Provincial Park. This stretch of Highway 17, the Trans-Canada Highway, has a wide range of shoreline and topography and also is the home of many artists of interest.

The Panoramics collection contains images of Northwestern Lower Peninsula of Michigan, particularly Old Mission Peninsula and the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. Typical of these are aspect ratios greater than 2:1 comprising digitally stitched multiple exposures.
